Megan Thee Stallion Joins Netflix As Exec Producer

Adding to her resume, Megan will now be credited as an executive producer on Netflix original and exclusive content. In her official statement, Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s Head of Comedy went on to say, “Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture.” One of the projects set to be released is a television show.

Regarding the newer content being released as well as the deal she signed, Pete explained, “I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix. Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.” Interestingly enough, with all these business deals and propositions, Pete still has time to be 20-something. She’s mentioned in the past how she’s interested in things like anime, animation, and horror films. Her favorite is reportedly “Evil Dead.” Who knows what she’ll conjure up!

According to Screen Rant, this deal with Netflix is actually not the first time she has taken on a film or T.V. project. Back in 2019, Pete starred in and created a horror series, “Hottieween.” In August 2020, Pete brought up that she began writing a horror screenplay. In an interview with Marie Claire, Pete also mentioned that she wanted to collaborate with Jordan Peele who directed the eye-opening film “Get Out.”

If you don’t quite follow the Houston rapper, you may not know that Pete founded and recently sold her own label Young Thug to Warner Music Group. She’s also incredibly accomplished academically, having just graduated from Texas Southern University with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration. Alongside her Grammy-Award-winning career in music, that is quite an outstanding resume. I, for one, am ready for all the horror things from Ms. Meg! Could you imagine?

We get a surprise taste of what’s to come with Pete starring in the NFL Superbowl LVI Frito-Lay commercial released on Wednesday, January 19.

Billboard reports:

A super-chill Meg rolls up to a stadium on a golf cart while casually digging into a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and rocking a fire engine red sweatsuit. When the woman checking her in asks for the rapper’s name ”” “yup, it’s me, Megan Thee Stallion” ”” she apologizes for having to run through a few basic questions before allowing her to proceed.”

In the official press release Netflix claims that “it’s just Megan’s world, we’re just living in it,” and I can’t think of a better way to put it.
