Lana Del Rey has released the first focus single ‘Watercolor Eyes’, deeply amplifying the moving storyline for the universally acclaimed show. 

‘Euphoria’ is created, written and directed by Sam Levinson. The ensemble cast includes female lead, Zendaya, along with other esteemed actors like Hunter Schafer, Nika King, Angus Cloud, Jacob Elordi, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Dominic Fike, Storm Reid and Austin Abrams. Amidst the intertwining lives in the town of East Highland, the series follow 17-year-old Rue, who must find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction.

Lana Del Rey yet again displays her distinct vocals and incredible talent in songwriting through the melancholic soundtrack, ‘Watercolor Eyes’. The song, which was previously teased in the preview for the drama, sees the singer embody all the raw emotions of heartbreak in a “slow burn guitar track”.

“Young love don’t always last forever, wild horse can’t keep us together” shares Lana Del Rey in the deeply emotional song. “Your love stings like blood and a lemon”. With Lana Del Rey joining the ‘Euphoria’ world with the first single release, it is also her latest drop after her eighth studio album ‘Blue Banisters’ last October. 

The teen drama series is poised to be one of the hottest shows released in the New Year and available to stream on HBO Max. With the show being everything that makes it binge-worthy – from the moving relatable plotlines, to trending topics like villainy, troubled characters, supremacy, love and heartbreak, Lana Del Rey’s collaboration on the soundtrack could not be a better fit.
