Having been forced to cancel many of their 50th anniversary show dates back in 2020 due to the pandemic, the infamous German band announced their return to the US next Summer. Kraftwerk will bring their immersive 3D visual concept to a total of 24 shows across North America including Cleveland, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. As well as additional Canadian appearances in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
Fans can expect to hear classics from throughout the decades as the band pay homage to their original 8 albums.Tracks such as The Robots, Computer Love, Tour De France and Trans-Europe Express, are all sure to transport gig-goers into a nostalgic vortex of synth-fusion.
News of tour dates broke following Kraftwerk’s induction into the mighty Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on October 30th. A fitting tribute to the band’s everlasting legacy as the original innovators of computerised electronic music.
It was all the way back in 1970 that Kraftwerk was founded by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in Düsseldorf, Germany. In a time of power ballads and rockin’ guitar solos, Karftwerk brought an entirely new sound into the charts and have often been credited as laying the foundation for modern electronic dance music.
Following the sad passing of original co-founder Florian Schneider in April 2020, Kraftwerk’s line-up today includes the talents of Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz, Falk Grieffenhagen and co-founder Ralf Hütter.
