A master of producing impeccable releases and playing at festivals worldwide, Dutch DJ/producer Ferry Corsten kicked off his “What The F” tour at The Ministry of Sound in London on the 6th of May. As this was his only stop in the UK before embarking on the US leg – including performances in Texas, New York, and California – fans were treated to an energetic spectacle from the dance legend. He delighted the audience with the culmination of his work; rehashed, remixed, and reinvented from a futuristic approach.
On his website, Ferry Corsten reveals that the “What The F” tour will be an experience where fans are to “expect the “unexpected”. Whether through sight or sound, the legendary DJ will take the tour by storm as he wants the fans to journey on a full breadth of his work, crossing genres that will lean into the known historical references of his music and the undiscovered ones. After he concluded his first show in London on Friday, fans flocked to social media to eagerly share their splendid experience at the iconic venue, where they danced into the night. Among the massive outpour of compliments, Ferry was described as “an absolute pioneer of many generations”, and the fans had their “best night “of the year”.

Before the show, Ferry also took to social media to express his excitement to perform at the top venue and teased the fans that they would have to “tickle their curiosity, dream away, reminisce and hear what you can expect” from his show.

Just last week, the electronic music titan was honoured by the Dutch Royal Family for his marvellous contribution as a musician that continues to bring glory to both his nation and the international fans.
Founded back in 1892, the prestigious accolade of The Order of Oranje-Nassau is a civil and military Dutch order of chivalry exclusively awarded to top nationals of the Netherlands that have extended incredible service to the nation and beyond.

As well as being the longest-running Dutch DJ to remain in the Top 100 DJs Poll in 2021, he was also the first DJ to be named the Ambassador of Freedom by the Dutch Liberation Day Comity back in 2008. With this accolade, Ferry became only the third DJ after Tiesto (2003) and Armin Van Buuren (2011) to be awarded the title of Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
Sharing his excitement on social media, Ferry Corsten revealed,
“I can’t put into words how much of an honour being presented with this award is for me. As a passionately proud Dutch native and an artist who has just wanted to share all the beautiful sides of dance music with the world since day one. To be recognised by the Dutch Royal family means so much. Thank you”.
With such an impressive number of awards under his belt, this new honour marks a pivotal moment for the brilliant creative as he will continue to take fans on a unique journey through his tour.
