For three days, Otherlands Music & Arts festival turned the regal grounds of Scone Palace in the heart of Scotland into an accumulation of a boutique, boho, raver’s paradise, bringing together a genre-spanning line-up of DJs and artists as well as wellness treatments, industry talks and glamping experiences.
Here are 10 unmissable moments from across Saturday and Sunday of Otherlands’ debut weekender in August 2022.
All Good dropping LF System’s track of the moment ‘Afraid To Feel’ in Fool’s Utopia
It’s the disco-infused chart-topping hit that has been on repeat all Summer long. Scottish duo DJ/producer LF System’s ‘Afraid To Feel’ was a sure-fire win for Dundee collective and club night All Good to bring their high-octane, adrenaline pumping set in the Fool’s Utopia tent to a close before handing over to Polka Dot Disco Club. Pushing the limits for how long you can tease the UK No.1 single’s tempo switch, All Good sent Otherlands festival-goers loco.
Joesef delivering a grooving rendition of Sister Sledge’s ‘Thinking of You’
Over at Otherlands’ Frissonia stage, Glasgow soul-pop superstar Joesef soundtracked the afternoon sun with hit tracks from his catalogue including ‘The Sun Is Up Forever’ and ‘Think That I Don’t Need Your Love,’ and of course, his signature rendition of Sister Sledge’s anthemic disco number ‘Thinking of You’ which unsurprisingly sent the crowd into a roaring chorus.
Being handed the freshest mojito around from The Public Spirit

Fresh off the release of two-track EP ‘HZST001,’ Glasgow DJ/producer Hayley Zalassi joined Otherlands’ Sunday line-up taking over the Fool’s Utopia tent with her full force energy behind the decks and finesse selector style. Zalassi’s edit of Fergie’s swaggering 00s hit ‘Glamorous’ never fails to get a groove on and Fool’s Utopia ravers were no exception, chanting the iconic chorus in unison over a steady kicking beat.
Biig Piig sending the Frissonia stage into an echoing encore
Irish singer/songwriter Biig Piig brought one of the most energetic live sets of the weekend, becoming completely immersed in her own verses and magnetic connection with the Frissonia crowd hooked on her juxtaposing soft vocal style and high impact band.
Sitting down with Jade Mordente for a tarot reading
Wellness guru and mental health advocate Jade Mordente brought one-to-one tarot readings to Otherlands. Sat on the grass in front of the rural Bohemian backdrop, Jade welcomed us to have our cards read with nods to what lies in store for the future and demystifying present emotions. Thankfully no death card was in sight.
Finding THE best loaded fries at Good Boy Burger Co.
Two full days of dancing, exploring and wandering around Otherlands’ market stalls and art installations takes it out of you. So, to stumble across Good Boy Burger Co‘s garlic and herb loaded fries was heaven sent. Kicking back on the grass with great food, a drink in hand whilst Maverick Sabre performed on-stage was all the vibes.
Bicep sending off Otherlands 2022 in truly immersive style, not forgetting classic hit ‘Glue’
Electronic duo Bicep took to the stage to bring Otherlands Music and Arts festival mainstage to an unforgettable close. Ramping up the stage production to create an enchanting dystopia of light, Bicep’s live DJ flexed their craftsmanship as producers, culminating staple works ‘Apricots’ and ‘Atlas’ before mixing the dopamine hit-up that is ‘Glue.’ A bucket-list moment to catch the global hit performed by the creators themselves, and a stunning send off to Otherlands 2022.
